Beginner's Bread Workshop

If you want to make real bread at home and always wondered how, then this workshop is for you. It is a full day, hands-on introduction to the basics of baking real bread using only a handful of ingredients. At the end of this workshop you should feel confident enough to craft a variety of breads at home. You will learn to make your very own farmhouse bread, seeded wholemeal boule & focaccia to take home with you.
In this workshop you will learn the following:
What is real bread and how does it differ from supermarket bread?
Making a simple dough that forms the basis of all good bread;
Different kneading techniques;
How to shape your loaves;
Using different techniques for proving your loaves;
Heat and how to bake your loaves properly in a domestic oven.
What else is included:
Easy to follow instructions and recipes for you to take home;
A light lunch and refreshments;
Unlimited tea and coffee (it is thirsty work!).
